Bedford was a subsidiary company of Vauxhall Motors who built commercial vehicles for the UK and export markets.  The O types were introduced in 1939 and these gave way in 1951 to the new S type.  Power was provided by a Bedford 6 cylinder 27.34hp engine with 4 speed manual gearbox.
