As the present Chairman of the Clwyd Veteran and Vintage Machinery Society Ltd., I would like to take this opportunity to thank the previous Chairman, committee and members of the Society for the excellent work that they have done to keep the club alive.
My aim now is to build on the success of this club and bring it in line with modern day living where there has been a resurgence in retro and all things vintage. I would also like to see younger people take an interest in the club and would encourage them to share their ideas and thoughts on how we can continue to keep this club up to date.
The first meeting of The Society was held at the Four Winds Public House at Tan y Fron, on Tuesday 28th September 1976, to discuss the formation of a Society for those interested in old machinery of any sort.
To visitors with an interest all things Veteran and Vintage may I invite you to join us at our monthly meetings held on the first Tuesday of every month at the Miners Welfare Institute Llay, commencing at 7.30pm, all ages are welcome. Why not follow us on Facebook: Clwyd Veteran and Vintage Machinery Society for up to date information on club nights, guest speakers and future events.
I look forward to welcoming you to our meetings or to our Annual Show.
